Take time to read this summer. It will help you in so many ways, and if you take the time, I promise you will enjoy it. You can also earn up to $15 to the fall Book Fair, a pizza party, and lots of Mustang Nation gear. If you want to know more about the contest, read here. If you need a copy of the Summer Reading Log, click on it. If you want to earn bonus prizes, find the Reading Bingo form, here. Finally, at the beginning of the summer, you can bring in this permission slip to check out up to 20 books on May 28th (the day after the last day of school). Read this summer, anything…everything, you won’t regret it.
Mid-Continent Summer Reading Program
I strongly encourage you to participate in the MCPL reading program as well. You can count your books for both contests.

It is incredibly important to use the summer to continue learning and exploring new ideas. You live in a wonderful town, near an amazing city. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or here to find amazing opportunities in the Kansas City area.
The BCMS Spring Book Fair will be held March 2-10. All proceeds go directly back to students through Book Club, the Summer and Winter Reading programs, the Truman Nominee incentives and field trip, author visits, and classroom libraries. You can also shop the Book Fair Online through March 20th.
The BCMS Family Literacy & Math Night will be held Thursday, March 9th in the Library from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
