2016-17 Truman Award Nominees

The Truman Award was created to recognize books appealing to middle school students.  Students in grades six through eight are eligible to vote for their favorite book if they have read at least FOUR of the titles on the current list.

Read 4 of the Truman books by the deadline and receive a sweet treat from the library. You are also eligible to vote for this year’s Truman Award for best book.

Read 6 of the Truman books (half) by the deadline and you will be invited to attend a pizza party in March, 2015. You are also eligible to vote for this year’s Truman Award for best book.

Read 10 of the Truman books by the deadline and you will be invited to attend a special field trip/event in March, 2015. You are also eligible to vote for this year’s Truman Award.

Read all 12 Truman books and you will receive all of the rewards mentioned above, as well as a gift certificate for the Scholastic Book Fair in May.
